Mattha (spiced butter milk) is a traditional Maharashtrian drink traditionaly served with Jalebis. It can also be served as an appetizer as it is good for digestion.
Yield: Approx. 6 small glasses
Preparation Time: Approx. 10 minutes
Ingredients:
2 cups Curds
1 tspn Ginger paste
1-2 chopped Green Chilles / paste
1 tspn Cumin powder
Salt to taste
1 Glass water
2-3 tbspns chopped Coriander leaves
For Garnishing:
Chopped Coriander leaves
Take curds in a mixing bowl. Add Ginger paste, chopped Green chillies or Green Chilli paste, Cumin powder, Salt and mix. Add a glass of chilled water and blend it well.
Then pass the mixture from a strainer. Add chopped Coriander leaves and transfer it into serving glasses. Serve chilled.
You may skip the step of passing it through strainer.
